Most “leaders” react too slowly. They sacrifice performance and results for “loyalty” and retain employees regardless of their aptitude or attitude. That’s not good for your practice and not good for your patients nor is it good for the rest of your T.E.A.M.
As you wait you dream of the meeting being very pleasant and a strong attraction or “chemistry” immediately occurs. Yes, “chemistry” happens at all ages, you realize and with just as much excitement and anticipation for the future. For a few moments you close your eyes and dream that when you open them she will be standing in front of you and instantaneously both will know that the search is over. You even struggle as you contemplate not opening your eyes until a hand taps you on the shoulder and the miracle begins.
Having said all of this, if you happen upon a shop for sale be observant and make a few visits before you know much. It will tell you a lot. I have been involved in a lot of discussions about buying an existing coffee shop. You have to take into effect the age of the business and the time left on the lease (w/renewal options). That is where half of the worth is at. There is always the case that someone may see value where others do not as well.
As you think about the love you desire, what comes to mind? Are you thinking of past relationships or just hoping the right person comes your way? How would you even know if the person is right for you?
Half way through a business trip, I’ve just left Amsterdam after yet another couple day “field research” trip – one of a number I’ve made to the City of All Delights over the last few years. I’ve had the opportunity to do research in many cities I’ve been to over the years, but probably none as in depth as the beautiful home of Van Gogh. It’s a city full of canals and houseboats, bicycles, tulips and souvenir wooden shoes. Old men playing chess in the plaza with 2′ tall Kings. Museums. Parks. Windmills. Prostitutes. Water taxis and trolleys.
The Yankee Joe Coffee and tea Shop is right on Main Street in the heart of Macungie Borough. Their coffee is yummy, and you can browse some lovely gifts while you sip your cares away. The shopkeeper is attentive and warm and you’ll enjoy a nice sense of calm. This is a great place to stop if you need to grab a quick gift while you drink your Joe.
